Change a list’s sort order
Open the three-dot menu beside a shopping list and choose Edit. You can also tap the list name at the top of an open list. Choose a sort order and save the change.
- Category order: Items appear in their categories.
- Manual order: You decide the order of the items.
- Alphabetical order: Items are sorted by name.
For each option, choose whether checked items stay in place or move to the bottom.
Move items manually
First select a manual sort order. Then open the shopping list’s menu and choose the option to sort items manually. Drag items using the handle at the edge and save the order.
Collapse categories and groups
Tap a group or category header to expand or collapse it. A long press expands or collapses the groups or categories together.
When the setting seems to have no effect
Under Settings → Advanced settings, check whether a global sort order is enabled. It can override the settings of individual lists. Turn it off if each list should use its own order.
